Pakistan Welcomes Sheikh Zayed Al Nahayan: A Token of Gratitude for His Aid During Floods

The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed Al Nahayan, has recently visited Pakistan in a show of solidarity and support for the country during its time of need. This visit follows the UAE's efforts to provide aid to those affected by the recent torrential rains and floods in Pakistan.

The Ministry of Defence, represented by the Joint Operations Command, has established an air bridge to transport humanitarian aid provided by the UAE to Pakistan. This aid includes essential materials such as shelter, food, and medical supplies, aimed at reducing the suffering of those affected by the floods.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has directed all efforts towards providing support to the friendly people of Pakistan. Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, announced that the first Emirati relief aid plane has already flown to Pakistan, with more flights to follow in the coming days.

The Pak-UAE Mobile Field Hospital arranged a free medical camp in Balochistan, providing healthcare facilities to the most flood-stricken area in the region. This was a joint initiative between the Zayed Giving Initiative, Dar Al Ber Society, Sharjah Charitable House Foundation, and other organizations, aimed at alleviating the suffering of those affected by the floods.

The UAE-Pakistan Humanitarian Field Hospital has been successful in providing diagnostic, curative, and preventive services to thousands of flood victims in Pakistan, with the help of both UAE and Pakistani doctors.

The visit of Sheikh Zayed Al Nahayan to Pakistan is a testament to the strong ties between the two countries, and the UAE's commitment to supporting its friends during difficult times. The cooperation between the two nations in providing aid to those affected by the floods serves as a model for international humanitarian efforts.
